Glenlyn is an Edwardian cottage built in 1908 for Master Mariner Chugg who is believed to have built the house for his wife so she could see when he was entering the estuary, returning from his sea voyages. Situated on West Hill, it commands fantastic views towards the Torridge and Taw Estuaries as well as the Braunton Burrows. However, this makes its position exposed to the elements and the current owners are working towards making the cottage as energy efficient as possible.

Features include a 3.69kW solar PV system, a wood burning stove, high performance double glazing, energy efficient window dressings including thermally lined curtains and FSC wooden shutters.
